malomatia staff donate blood to HMC
09 June 2015 – malomatia, Qatar’s leading IT company, joined a blood donation drive hosted by Tasweeq at its offices in Doha’s West Bay to support Hamad Medical Corporation’s Blood Donation Unit.
malomatia’s participation is part of its corporate social responsibility program and overall commitment to the community. The blood drive increases awareness of the benefits of donating and encourages able bodied staff at all levels to donate when they are able to.
Blood donation is also important in a national context, as donor blood cannot be stored indefinitely and has to be replenished in around 40 days of storage. This is an important fact that many people do not realize. It makes regular donation both a personal commitment as well as a significant contribution to the wellbeing of society.
